my plan didnt pan out. the apt bldg that i was supposed to move into, got a little off schedule, instead of may, the date was moved to late june to early july, because of the weather. as you all know, in manila, it rains come 1pm or 2pm till night. so construction got delayed, and delayed and delayed and delayed.... so, i decided to postponed the move and not even look for a new apt. im busy with work and im sick as of friday. down with a flu and tonsilitis.
though, im feeling much better now, im still unable to taste or smell anything. this flu is taking the fun out of eating. i miss tasting food and smelling it. i ate my fave noodle earlier, and i cant even taste it!!!! waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh
okey. back to reality. i had a marathon talk session again with ate janina. she was asking about the quirks and some gibberish about the mighty Virgos.
a virgo's quirks. i dont know about the others, but these are my quirks, as a virgo.
1. OC. as in Obsessive-compulsive. you get how we roll, like me, when i see something, like a shirt, i'll buy, every color i could possibly find on that shirt.
2. neat freaks. i like everything neat. clean. spotless. no questions asked.
3. organize. we like order. atleast i do. i even color coordinate my closet. my bed sheet to my pillowcase, comforter and blanket. not to mention ng robe and bath towel.
4. last laugh. i always have to have the last laugh or word.
5. practical. im practical. i dont buy things or get/do things without a higher purpose. everything has to have a reason.

wedding dress
no, not for me. not now atleast. was watching some show on discovery travel and living earlier with the mom, it was a wedding show of some sort. a mom was passing down her wedding gown to her daughter, and they gave it to a seamstress/designer to "re-work" it, in the words of christian siriano, make it fierce and fabulous! whatever.
so nweiz, i asked my mom about her wedding dress, and she said she had none. she just wore a simple white dress, when they got married. well, i know that mom and dad got married in city hall and they got married again in church, what i didnt know is that she didnt wear a gown! i always thought that she dressed up for the occassion.
she said that they did get married in church but it was just the two of them. and the priest and his assistants. no one else present. so she just wore a dress and my dad wore that bell bottom jeans i simply wanted to shred to pieces and a white polo.
wow. i was sad and disheartened yet deeply touched by the story.
it was supposed to be the most special day in a woman's life to have wedding and to wear a wedding gown, and my mom didn't get a chance to have that. yet, it was so intimate and personal and heartfelt. to have someone you truly love to be there. just the two of you there. present. all in the eyes of God. to present just the both of you together. no other people. more personal.
my mom said, she wouldnt change any of it. she doesn't want a grand or lavish wedding, just the two of them together is enough to make her happy. and its okey for her not to wear a wedding dress, just as long as she has a wedding ring. a band the symbolizes their love. a wedding dress doesnt say a thing to her.
wow. another wow. and another wow. i never looked at wedding that way. when i get married i'll probably do the same thing, except, i'll wear a wedding dress, and ivited prolly like 15-25 people. just the people that really matter to the both of us.
grand and lavish weddings are just ways of socializing, or in a lot of cases, a way to showcase the riches and money shits that people have. the thought of celebrating your most intimate moment in your life, with people you dont know, smiling and taking pictures with people you just met. i hate that. it'll give me a pained expression of happiness and disbelief. with the thought of "i dont know this people, why are they here? can they even remember my name without reading it from the invite?"

rainy season has always been my favorite. no stingy sun rays, no sweating, no b.o. from other peeps, no greasy arms in public transpo, no scurrying to the nearest mall to get cooled off, no more over priced shakes or sundaes. ha!
its nice to lie in bed all day and curl up with a good book.

my dirty little secret.
for all of you who heard me talk on the phone, you all know i sound very different. very different indeed. i sound like a sickly sweet sugar on acid, and you need to take a couple of insulin shots to calm your nerves after hearing me.
well, they know. and they were shocked! SHOCKED!!!
the guys weren't expecting the girly child-like voice would ever come out on a big tough chick like me. and because of that, i've been the butt of all jokes.

is it just me? its just me.
im still having jitters from the past weeks happening. as you guys remember i told you about my new wave that im the only girl, (well now, we're 2. thank God) we had an extemporaneous speech for our esl class, and the topic i got was the shitiest ever. "do you believe in love at first sight? why or why not?" i said AMP*** out loud. and you know, when i say curses out loud, its really loud! good thing sam milby look-alike jason was the only trainer in the room. whew. we're kindda buddies eh. we're actually more at ease with jason around. some are a little uptight. anyways.
it's supposed to be a SPEECH. a SPEECH. not a question and answer portion. i got grilled on the spot and up to now, im still getting grilled. because i only manage to answer, "no, i dont fall for a piece of eye candy." after that i got bombarded with questions after questions. taena! nasabi ko tuloy, "baket ba? wag nio na lang alamin, dahil hindi ko rin alam! basta mangyayari un pag nangyari yun!" after that i got to thinking... what do i really look for in a guy?
whenever i think about what happened to me in the past, the only thing that came to mind was, whenever i develop a crush on someone, we always have a good conversation for weeks/months. and all of the crushes that i had became/already my good friends.
so i think. conversation is the key to my heart.
its just a plus if you're an eye candy.
