Rules to live by if you want to survive in the workplace:

1. Never talk about the people in your workplace to anyone outside the comforts of your own home. ESPECIALLY when your dissing them. You never know, the person next to you might be a friend of his/her. Or worst, its the person you're talking about.

2. Resist office politics as much as you can, if you are somehow caught in their web, be civil and cordial, but dont ever be tangled in their system.

3. SMILE. when your mad, when your sad, when your glad, when your bored. SMILING has done wonders to everyone.

4. Do not eat coconut juice, pie, candy etc. and banana on the same day. trust me.

5. Never ever talk about someone when your taking a leak/dump in a public CR, you never know who you're gonna see when you open the door.

6. Know the RIGHT people that can help you, for example in IT, Payroll, Health department. That doesn't mean you have to kiss-ass, it just means that knowing the right people helps in making your life easier.

7. EAT BEFORE YOU GO TO WORK. If you're work gives you a lot of stress, eat even if its just a granola bar or crackers, its keeps you focus and full at least until the first break comes along.

8. for the ladies, BRING AN EXTRA PAIR OF FLIP FLOPS, BAND AIDS, SOCKS. Wearing fierce shoes is must to complete your outfit, but sometimes you have to give your feet some air to breathe and relax, remember we don't want to trip in the middle of the hallway for fashion's sake.

9. Sometimes its OK to say NO.

10. Do not talk about work during your gimmicks with your office mates. It only adds stress to your day and lessens the happy moments in you night outs.

11. Have a little crush at work. Aside from the payday having a crush makes you perform better and eager to come to work. It also helps if your trying to lose weight, as you would be conscious on how good you look.

12. Freshen up every once in a while. You work is killing you but sometimes a spritz of your favorite cologne or a quick hilamos, recharges you.

13. Alternate coffee and tea. They said that coffee gives you that kick to start your day, but some of the ingredients in coffee makes your nerves a total wreck, so alternate with a healthy dose of green tea or lemon tea, it gives you the same caffeine with less backlash effect.

14. Stop and smell the roses. Stop for a few minutes and just breathe. its relaxes you and de-stresses quickly.
